Earn the Order: Turning Insight into Committed Business

Most Recent Training Summary

You put in the work during Own the Season to understand your contractors' businesses, and this session was about making sure that understanding actually turns into revenue. We practiced the deep dive questions live in small groups, with each of you taking a turn as the account leader, the customer, and the observer, then came back together to talk about where it got uncomfortable and what surprised you. From there we walked through the moves that close the gap between a great conversation and a signed commitment: playing the pain back in the customer's own words, diagnosing what the problem is actually costing them, mapping out who really needs to sign off, and making a specific, well timed ask instead of just sending a quote and hoping. Several of you shared real examples from the field, and those stories drove home just how much of a difference this approach makes.

Key takeaway: A great conversation that ends with "let me put a quote together and get it to you" is a great conversation you gave away. Before you propose anything, play back the pain in their words, confirm the cost they gave you, and get permission to solve it. That bridge is what keeps your quote from becoming something a competitor can undercut on price alone.

What is the Extended DISC assessment and how do I get my results?

Extended DISC is a behavioral model used to categorize the way people interact and thoroughly describe how an individual is hard-wired.  DISC takes its name from four participatory types: Dominant, Influencer, Steady Relater, and Compliant.  A person's interaction style involves more than the way they deal with other people. It also affects how the person processes information and deals with emotions, the kind of activities or jobs the person prefers, and how they complete them. Success in life – both professional and personal – is primarily determined by how well one interacts with others.  The ability to effectively relate, communicate, influence, and motivate others is critical in creating successful relationships with customers, managers, employees, friends, and family members.

Your results will be sent to the MCG Team, they will distribute your results to you before your DISC training session.

Why do I have more than 1 training session on my calendar per month?

If you are seeing more than just your private team training sessions on your calendar (some examples include Sandler Foundations, Sales Mastery, SLGS, etc), it has been discussed ahead of time with your leader that you would be put into one of our public training programs in addition to your private trainings. Information about these programs will be communicated to you prior to when they start.
